We tune pipe organs in most areas of England & Wales and have three tuners. If you need a quote or if you are a regular customer, please get in touch to arrange an appointment.
Take a look at the gallery of our work, including pictures of new and restored chests, new and restored bellows, new and restored consoles, new trackers and tracker action restoration, pnematic restoration, new trunks, new swell shutters and boxes, pipe restoration, voicing equipment, new electrical looms, new music cabinets, examples of protecting organs from debris and new casework to match existing casework.
Our fully trained staff are able to carry out all aspects of organ building in our well equipped workshop, browse our gallery to see our most recent work. We try to take photos along the way so there's a lot of technical photos which you normally never see once an organ is in place.
The first mention of Cousans was listed in the directory of Lincoln in 1877 as J R Cousans Pianoforte and Musical instrument sellers, since then there have been many noteable moments, from inventing the "Kinetic" blower, to the Cousans factory being turned over completely for the war effort during WWII with many different items being made including ambulance first aid boxes and even gun sights.
